Walking in the sunshine

We're now sitting in Central Park and eating a lovely ice cream! It's very hot today, 26 degrees and almost no clouds at all.
This park is amazing and giant! It would take the whole day to explore the park, maybe even more than a day.
Central Park is located in Manhattan, a big island in New York. The park is 3,41 square kilometers so it's very big. We visited the Belvedere Castle in Central Park which is a Victorian castle built in 1869. The castle contains  exhibit rooms and an observation deck.

After the castle we visited the Cleopatras Needle which is a popular name for each of the three ancient Egyptian obelisks located in London, Paris and Central Park in New York City.

The ones in New York and London are pairs and both made of red granite. They are about 21 meters high! 

In the obelisks there are inscribed Egyptian heiroglyphs.
